Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in patient health status to the Registered Nurse (RN) immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring to and from beds, wheelchairs, and walkers.
- Administer medication and treatments as directed by the nursing staff, strictly following safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients and visitors.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients to improve their quality of life.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Oregon CNA license.
- CPR/BLS certification is required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and work varying shifts.
