Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Medication Reminders: Promptly remind clients to take prescribed medications at the scheduled times.
- Companionship: Provide social interaction and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for the client.
- Vital Monitoring: Observe and report changes in the client's physical or mental condition to the nursing team.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments and errands as needed.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Wisconsin Home Health Aide (HHA) certification or CNA license.
- CPR/First Aid: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience: Prior experience in home health or long-term care is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion: A genuine, caring demeanor and patience when working with elderly or disabled individuals.
- Reliability: Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Transportation: Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for client transport.
