Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in diverse clinical settings including ICU, ER, and Telemetry units
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments per protocol while monitoring patient responses
- Document patient assessments and interventions accurately in electronic health records
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and discharge planning
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental meetings
Qualifications
- Active NJ RN license or compact state eligibility
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience in specialty area
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS/NRP for specialties)
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts including nights and weekends
- Strong assessment skills and critical thinking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and protocols
