Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, and grooming to clients.
- Assist with mobility and transfer patients using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Monitor client health and report any changes in condition or concerns to the supervising nurse.
- Prepare meals according to special dietary restrictions and assist with feeding if necessary.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties to maintain a safe and clean living environment.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and run errands as needed.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's quality of life.
Qualifications
- Valid New York State Home Health Aide (HHA) Certificate or CNA license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification (ACLS preferred).
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (required for community visits).
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented personality.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a healthcare team.
