As a Home Health Aide, you will play a vital role in assisting clients with their daily living activities, ensuring they remain safe, comfortable, and happy in their own homes.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist clients with feeding as needed.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients to improve their mental well-being.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, cleaning, and changing bed linens.
- Transport clients to and from medical appointments or recreational activities.
- Administer prescribed medications under the supervision of a registered nurse.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred; valid Home Health Aide certificate is a plus.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation required.
- Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic documentation systems.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
