Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide mobility assistance and accompany clients to medical appointments or social activities.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure and temperature, reporting changes to the nurse supervisor.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping and laundry as assigned.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to improve the client's mental well-being.
- Administer prescribed medications under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Maintain accurate documentation of daily care logs and incident reports.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred; willing to obtain upon hiring.
- Valid Florida Driver’s License and clean driving record.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and a patient demeanor.
- Ability to lift, transfer, and assist patients weighing up to 250 lbs.
- Must pass a background check, drug screening, and health assessment.
