Responsibilities
- Provide daily living assistance including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping to ensure a safe and clean living environment.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and weight.
- Administer prescribed medications and remind patients of their daily schedules and appointments.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce isolation and loneliness.
- Document patient progress and communicate any changes in condition to the nursing team.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Current Texas State Certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation (required for client travel).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and non-judgmental demeanor.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Basic computer literacy for logging patient data.
