Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting, to ensure client hygiene and comfort.
- Assist clients with mobility issues, including transferring in and out of bed or wheelchairs safely.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping to maintain a safe and clean living environment.
- Administer medications and provide reminders as directed by the Registered Nurse (RN) or Case Manager.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness.
- Monitor and report any changes in the client’s physical condition or behavior to the healthcare team.
- Transport clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or social activities as needed.
Qualifications
- Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine, empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
