What You Will Do:
- Patient Care: Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Meals & Nutrition: Prepare and serve meals tailored to specific dietary needs and preferences.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in social activities to reduce isolation.
- Mobility Support: Assist with transfers, walking, and light exercises to maintain client mobility.
- Observation: Monitor vital signs and report any changes in physical or mental condition to the nursing supervisor immediately.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, pharmacy runs, and social outings.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for the client.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients to improve their quality of life.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and light exercise routines.
- Monitor and report changes in client health or behavior to the nursing team.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and errands as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification is preferred.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Valid California Driverβs License and reliable transportation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Previous experience in home health or geriatric care is a plus.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is highly desirable.
