Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications on time and report any changes in condition to the nursing supervisor.
- Companionship: Engage clients in conversation, hobbies, and social activities to reduce isolation and improve mental well-being.
- Light Housekeeping: Perform light cleaning duties such as laundry, meal preparation, and vacuuming to maintain a safe and sanitary living environment.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Monitor and record vital signs, weight, and food/fluid intake as required.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments and errands, ensuring safe travel.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Certification: Current Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in home care or a medical setting is highly desirable.
- Driver’s License: Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation are required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods; good physical stamina.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, patience, empathy, and a strong desire to help others.
