Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and package prescription medications for patient pickup or delivery.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and physician orders to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Assist the Pharmacist in the dispensing process, including labeling, unit-dose packaging, and compounding.
- Manage inventory levels, including checking stock, reordering supplies, and performing monthly stock counts.
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and manage cash drawers accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in strict compliance with FDA and state regulations.
Qualifications
- Current, active Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
- Washington State Board of Pharmacy Technician license or eligibility.
- High School Diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician program is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with patients and staff.
- Proficiency in using pharmacy management software and basic computer applications.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift boxes weighing up to 25 lbs.
