Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Provide reminders and assist with medication administration as directed by the RN or LPN.
- Companionship: Engage clients in conversation, hobbies, and social activities to promote mental well-being.
- Light Housekeeping: Perform light cleaning duties such as laundry, meal preparation, and vacuuming to maintain a safe environment.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and report changes in client health status to the nursing supervisor.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments and errands as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience as a Home Health Aide or CNA is a plus but not always required.
- License: Valid California Driver’s License and current auto insurance.
- Skills: Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR (certification provided upon hire).
- Personal Attributes: Must be patient, reliable, and possess excellent communication skills.
- Clean Background: Must pass a criminal background check.
