Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, including recording vital signs, medical history, and preparing patients for examination.
- Assist providers during exams and procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by physicians and following all safety protocols.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately, maintaining up-to-date patient charts and documentation.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments, lab orders, and referrals.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized clinical environment in compliance with OSHA and HIPAA standards.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first attitude.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced medical office.
- Proficiency with computer systems and electronic medical records (EMR).
