Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting as needed.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, meal preparation, and cleaning the client's living area.
- Monitor and report changes in a client's physical or mental condition to the nursing supervisor.
- Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and walking using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or social outings.
- Administer medication reminders and maintain accurate daily care logs.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for all clients.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is highly preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and a pre-employment drug screening.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are often preferred.
- Must demonstrate compassion, patience, and a professional demeanor.
