Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
  • Provide medication reminders and monitor client compliance as directed by the supervising nurse.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning based on specific dietary restrictions.
  • Accompany clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and social activities, providing transportation and companionship.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry and cleaning, to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment.
  • Track and report changes in the client’s physical or emotional condition to the nursing supervisor immediately.
  • Assist with mobility exercises and transfers to prevent falls and ensure patient safety.

Qualifications

  • Current Home Health Aide Certification or CNA license is required.
  • High school diploma or GED is strongly preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle are mandatory.
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and families.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift, bend, and assist patients as needed.
