Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any abnormalities to the supervising nurse.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry, changing linens, and vacuuming to ensure a safe and clean living environment.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging them in conversation and recreational activities.
- Transport clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or grocery shopping as required.
- Assist with mobility exercises and help clients move safely in and out of bed or chairs.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Current Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred but not strictly required for entry-level candidates.
- Valid Driver's License and proof of auto insurance required (for client transportation).
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and a patient, empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Willingness to submit to a physical examination.
