Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections using provided equipment
- Process and label specimens according to HIPAA protocols
- Maintain sterile environments and equipment calibration
- Provide patient education during blood draw procedures
- Collaborate with laboratory staff for sample processing
- Document patient information and test requisitions accurately
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and infection control
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP/AMT/NCCT)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- Proficiency in vacuum tube systems and microcollection devices
- Basic ECG and vital sign monitoring skills
- Excellent communication and patient interaction abilities
- Ability to work efficiently with provided equipment
- Valid Wisconsin state healthcare provider license
- Background check and drug screen clearance
