Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Prepare and serve meals according to individual dietary restrictions and feeding plans.
- Provide compassionate emotional support and clear communication to patients and their families.
- Document patient care activities, including intake, output, and changes in condition, accurately in electronic health records.
- Assist licensed nurses with medical procedures, wound care, and specimen collection as directed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment to prevent infection and ensure patient comfort.
Qualifications
- Current and valid State of California CNA Certification and registration.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented demeanor.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to work flexible shifts.
