Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Prepare and sterilize instruments/equipment following OSHA protocols
- Take dental X-rays and develop radiographs accurately
- Manage patient records and digital charting systems
- Administer anesthesia injections and post-op care instructions
- Coordinate patient flow and maintain clinical inventory
- Train new staff on clinic protocols and software
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state-issued)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Strong knowledge of infection control standards
- Exceptional communication and patient rapport skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
