Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance companies (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial payers)
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits pre-service
- Denial analysis and appeals management
- Perform medical coding using CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS
- Reconcile accounts receivable reports monthly
- Comply with HIPAA regulations and compliance standards
- Collaborate with physicians and coding specialists
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a clinic/hospital setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Proficiency in Epic/NextGen EMR systems
- Expert knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding guidelines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills for patient/provider interactions
- Associate's degree in Health Information Management preferred
