Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument preparation, suctioning, and patient monitoring
- Take and develop dental X-rays with digital radiography equipment
- Perform sterilization and maintenance of dental instruments and equipment
- Manage patient records using practice management software (eDentist experience preferred)
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal infection control protocols
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Coordinate scheduling and assist with front desk operations as needed
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or X-ray license (Texas Board of Dentistry)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft)
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards
- Excellent communication skills for patient interaction
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Positive attitude and team player mentality
