Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance companies and government payers
- Verify patient eligibility and insurance coverage prior to service
- Resolve claim denials and appeals efficiently
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and billing regulations
- Reconcile accounts receivable and manage aging reports
- Communicate effectively with providers, patients, and payers
- Utilize Epic EMR and Medisoft billing software daily
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a clinical setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Proficiency in medical billing software and EMR systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a high-volume environment
- Associate's degree in Health Information Management preferred
