Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Verify patient information and insurance details for all prescriptions
- Maintain proper inventory control and medication storage protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Process insurance claims and manage prescription documentation
- Collaborate with healthcare team to resolve medication-related inquiries
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and pharmacy safety regulations
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Missouri pharmacy technician license
- Minimum 1 year pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency with pharmacy software
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
