Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone triage using standardized protocols
- Document patient encounters accurately in Epic EHR system
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to determine care urgency
- Provide clear instructions to patients regarding self-care or next steps
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and Joint Commission standards
- Participate in continuous training and quality improvement initiatives
- Support emergency department operations during peak volumes
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Current FL nursing license (or willing to obtain within 90 days)
- BLS/CPR certification (training provided)
- Exceptional communication and active listening skills
- Ability to work calmly under pressure with multitasking aptitude
- Basic computer proficiency with willingness to learn EHR systems
