Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Process insurance claims and manage patient billing inquiries
- Maintain precise medication inventory and stock rotation systems
- Assist in compounding sterile/non-sterile preparations
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and pharmacy regulations
- Operate pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
Qualifications
- Active Maryland Pharmacy Technician license
- Prior retail or hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Certification through PTCB or ExCPT required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency with pharmacy systems
- Must pass background check and drug screening
