Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage prescription workflow from intake to final verification
- Provide exceptional patient education on medication usage and side effects
- Maintain precise inventory control and order pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and third-party billing efficiently
- Ensure compliance with DEA, FDA, and state pharmacy regulations
- Operate pharmacy software and automated dispensing systems
Qualifications
- Active Washington State Pharmacy Technician license (or ability to obtain immediately)
- Prior pharmacy technician experience in retail or hospital setting preferred
- Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency with pharmacy systems
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends and holidays
