Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by arranging sterile fields and surgical equipment
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce infection control protocols
- Count surgical instruments, sponges, and needles pre/post-procedure
- Transport patients and prepare them for surgical interventions
- Clean and sterilize equipment using advanced sterilization techniques
- Document procedural details and maintain accurate patient records
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience in acute care setting
- Knowledge of sterile processing and sterilization methods
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced surgical environments
- Valid BLS certification
- Experience with electronic health record systems
