Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce infection control protocols
- Handle surgical equipment sterilization and maintenance
- Document procedure details and inventory supplies accurately
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for surgical efficiency
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years recent surgical tech experience
- Expertise in sterile processing and OSHA compliance
- BLS/CPR certification maintained
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends/on-call
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
