Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Prepare and sterilize instruments/equipment using OSHA-compliant protocols
- Take accurate dental radiographs and develop X-rays
- Manage patient flow and maintain efficient clinic operations
- Perform chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques
- Execute infection control protocols throughout treatment areas
- Administer local anesthetics under dentist supervision
Qualifications
- Current Texas Dental Assistant certification or RDA status
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Certification in dental radiography and coronal polishing
- Excellent knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Strong interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment
- CPR/BLS certification from recognized provider
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft or dental practice management software
