Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce aseptic techniques
- Handle surgical specimens for laboratory analysis
- Operate sterilization equipment and inventory surgical supplies
- Document perioperative care in electronic health records
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for patient safety
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent credential required
- 1+ years of recent surgical tech experience preferred
- Knowledge of sterile processing and surgical instrumentation
- BLS certification from AHA or equivalent provider
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
