Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, sterilize equipment, and arrange surgical instruments according to procedure requirements
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments, supplies, and equipment
- Maintain sterile fields and enforce aseptic techniques throughout surgical procedures
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after operations
- Prepare and transport patients to/from operating rooms
- Document procedural details and maintain accurate medical records
- Collaborate with nursing staff and surgeons to ensure seamless workflow
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 1 year of recent surgical tech experience preferred
- Graduate from accredited surgical technology program
- Proficiency in sterile processing and instrument handling
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and anatomy
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Current BLS certification
