Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments using ESI and START protocols
- Coordinate with physicians to prioritize critical cases
- Maintain accurate EHR documentation within 15-minute turnaround
- Train new staff on triage procedures and compliance standards
- Implement infection control protocols in high-volume scenarios
- Lead crisis intervention for pediatric and geriatric populations
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Texas RN license with current BLS/ACLS certifications
- Minimum 3 years ED or urgent care triage experience
- Spanish bilingual proficiency required
- Proficiency in Epic EHR and telehealth platforms
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) or Triage RN preferred
- Ability to maintain 95% accuracy in acuity scoring
- Experience with mass casualty incident protocols
