Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and medical history to prioritize emergency care needs
- Provide accurate telephone triage for incoming patients using clinical judgment protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
- Maintain detailed electronic health records with precise documentation
- Deliver compassionate patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Manage emergency department flow during high-volume periods
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California (CA)
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Exceptional communication abilities for patient interactions
- Experience with Epic or similar EMR systems
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
