Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments to determine urgency and prioritize care in emergency settings
- Utilize EHR systems (EPIC preferred) to document patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and care teams to coordinate seamless patient flow
- Provide clear, compassionate communication to patients and families during stressful situations
- Monitor vital signs, interpret diagnostic results, and initiate emergency protocols when necessary
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance triage efficiency and patient outcomes
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and hospital policies
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the State of Arizona (or compact license)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of emergency department or critical care experience
- Proficiency in triage protocols and emergency nursing standards
- Exceptional assessment skills with ability to make critical decisions under pressure
- Strong communication skills with ability to de-escalate situations effectively
- Experience with electronic health records (EPIC preferred)
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
