Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance payers with 95%+ accuracy
- Denial analysis and resolution following HIPAA guidelines
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits
- Reconcile EOBs and post payments in Epic EMR system
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with CMS and payer policies
- Collaborate with clinical teams to resolve billing discrepancies
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in outpatient/hospital settings
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential required
- Expertise in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Proficient with NextGen or Epic EMR systems
- Strong understanding of COBRA, EOBs, and claim appeals
- Ability to maintain 95% claim submission accuracy
