Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize cases in high-volume emergency setting
- Collaborate with physicians to develop accurate treatment plans
- Utilize EHR systems (EPIC) to document patient encounters efficiently
- Provide clear communication to patients/families about wait times and care processes
- Maintain compliance with TJC and state nursing protocols
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Support disaster response and surge capacity protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (Compact license accepted)
- Minimum 2 years ER/urgent care experience required
- ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications mandatory
- BSN preferred; ADN with 5+ years experience considered
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Experience with EHR systems and triage protocols
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
