Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed telephone and secure message assessments to determine the severity of patient symptoms.
- Apply critical thinking skills to prioritize patient needs and recommend appropriate levels of care.
- Document all triage encounters accurately and in real-time within electronic health records (EHR).
- Educate patients on medication management, symptom monitoring, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and specialists to facilitate referrals and continuity of care.
- Manage high call volumes while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor under pressure.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Arizona.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with specific experience in triage or call center nursing preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Strong computer proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
