Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone and in-person to determine medical urgency and appropriate care pathways
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to coordinate patient admissions and transfers
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation with strict compliance protocols
- Educate patients on home care instructions and follow-up procedures
- Oversee triage protocols during high-volume periods and emergency situations
- Facilitate seamless communication between patients, families, and clinical teams
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years of ER or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficient in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong communication abilities in high-pressure environments
- BSN preferred (ADN candidates with relevant experience considered)
