Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections accurately and efficiently
- Process and label specimens according to strict laboratory protocols
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comfort during procedures
- Calibrate and sterilize equipment daily
- Document all procedures in HIPAA-compliant systems
- Collaborate with healthcare teams for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NCCT, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a hospital or lab setting
- Valid BLS/CPR certification
- Exceptional venipuncture and specimen handling skills
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic, Cerner preferred)
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
