Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields according to infection control protocols
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain accurate surgical equipment inventory and sterilization logs
- Transport patients safely to/from surgical suites
- Document perioperative care in electronic health records
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless care delivery
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required
- Minimum 1 year recent scrub experience in general surgery
- BLS/CPR certification with current renewal date
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 40+ pounds
- Proficiency in sterile processing protocols (AORN standards)
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Nevada Surgical Tech license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
