Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and pharmaceutical products under pharmacist supervision
- Process prescription orders using pharmacy management software while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Provide exceptional patient consultations on medication usage, side effects, and refill processes
- Manage pharmaceutical inventory including ordering, receiving, and controlled substance documentation
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve prescription discrepancies and ensure patient safety
- Maintain clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy workspaces following OSHA standards
- Assist with immunization administration and health screenings as certified
Qualifications
- Active Florida Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- High school diploma or equivalent; pharmacy tech program preferred
- Minimum 1 year retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell, Rx30)
- Strong attention to detail with excellent math and communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Pass background check and drug screening
