Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, orthodontic, and surgical treatments
- Manage digital imaging systems (X-rays, CBCT) and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Oversee sterilization protocols and infection control procedures
- Train and mentor new dental assistants on clinical workflows
- Manage patient education materials and post-procedure care instructions
- Coordinate treatment plans with front desk and hygiene teams
- Maintain accurate digital patient records and clinical documentation
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years of chairside experience in a busy practice
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft or Dentrix practice management software
- DEXIS/Radiography certification required
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and CDC sterilization protocols
- CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
