Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including oral surgery, implant placements, and restorative treatments
- Manage digital radiography systems and intraoral imaging with precision
- Sterilize equipment and maintain strict infection control protocols exceeding OSHA standards
- Train and mentor new dental assistants on practice protocols and technologies
- Oversee inventory management for dental supplies and equipment
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal patient flow efficiency
- Delicate patient education on post-procedure care and oral hygiene
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) credential required
- Minimum 3 years experience in general dentistry with advanced procedure exposure
- Mastery of digital radiography (DEXIS/CS 3D preferred) and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification and current state radiology license
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Proven ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environments
- Strong leadership experience in team coordination and training
