Responsibilities
- Chairside assistance during complex dental procedures including implants, crowns, and cosmetic dentistry
- Manage digital radiography (X-ray, CBCT) and intraoral imaging systems
- Sterilize equipment and maintain OSHA-compliant infection control protocols
- Train and mentor junior dental assistants on clinical procedures
- Coordinate patient flow and optimize clinical efficiency
- Assist with treatment planning documentation and insurance verification
- Implement digital charting using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent Illinois license
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Advanced certification in radiography and nitrous oxide monitoring
- Proficiency with digital imaging and practice management software
- Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration
- CPR/BLS certification from American Heart Association
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Ability to manage high-volume patient schedules efficiently
