Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws with precision and minimal patient discomfort
- Process and label specimens according to HIPAA protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records and sample documentation
- Operate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment including centrifuges and analyzers
- Ensure strict adherence to OSHA safety standards and infection control protocols
- Provide exceptional patient care during high-volume specimen collection
- Collaborate with clinical teams to optimize workflow efficiency
Qualifications
- Current Pennsylvania Phlebotomy Technician certification required
- 1+ years of clinical experience in hospital or laboratory setting
- Valid CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Proficiency in venipuncture techniques for diverse patient populations
- Strong understanding of specimen processing and handling procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced healthcare environments
