Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for treatments and assist dentists during complex procedures
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilize instruments
- Oversee inventory management and ordering of dental supplies
- Train new dental assistants on clinic protocols and equipment
- Maintain accurate digital patient records using Dentrix software
- Deliver post-operative instructions and patient education
Qualifications
- Minnesota Dental Assistant certification required
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience in a dental office
- Proficiency in digital radiography and dental software (EHR/EMR)
- CPR certification and current BLS credentials
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and dental safety protocols
- Exceptional communication and patient rapport skills
- Ability to manage multiple procedures simultaneously
- High school diploma or equivalent (DA degree preferred)
