Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including oral surgeries and restorative treatments
- Manage digital radiography systems and intraoral cameras for precise diagnostics
- Coordinate patient flow and sterilization protocols exceeding OSHA standards
- Maintain detailed digital charting and electronic health records
- Train and mentor new dental assistants on practice protocols
- Prepare specialized materials for cosmetic and implant procedures
- Lead inventory management for dental supplies and equipment
Qualifications
- CDA certification or equivalent Pennsylvania dental assistant license
- Minimum 3 years experience in a high-volume dental practice
- Expertise in digital imaging (CBCT, intraoral cameras)
- CPR/BLS certification and X-ray radiation safety training
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols
- Experience with Eaglesoft practice management software
- Exceptional communication skills for patient education
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced surgical environments
