Responsibilities
- Chairside assistance during complex procedures including implant placements and full-mouth reconstructions
- Manage digital radiography systems and intraoral imaging with precision
- Sterilize instruments and maintain OSHA-compliant infection control protocols
- Train and mentor new dental assistants on practice workflows
- Coordinate patient flow between hygiene and treatment rooms
- Assist in treatment plan presentations using digital imaging software
Qualifications
- 3+ years of dental assisting experience in a private practice setting
- New York State Dental Assistant certification (RDA) required
- Certification in coronal polishing and nitrous oxide monitoring
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft or Dentrix practice management software
- Exceptional chairside demeanor for anxious patient management
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Digital radiography and CBCT experience preferred
