Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures while maintaining strict infection control protocols
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, orthodontic, and surgical cases
- Manage digital imaging systems and maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software
- Coordinate instrument sterilization and inventory management for optimal workflow
- Provide post-operative instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene best practices
- Train new dental assistants on clinical protocols and practice standards
- Oversee front desk coordination during peak hours to ensure smooth patient flow
Qualifications
- Current Colorado Dental Assistant certification or DANB certification
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (X-ray) and intraoral imaging
- CPR/BLS certification from an accredited institution
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and dental sterilization procedures
- Experience with Dentrix Eaglesoft practice management software
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
