Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including implant placements and oral surgeries
- Manage digital radiography and intraoral imaging systems with precision
- Oversee sterilization protocols and inventory management for 8+ operatories
- Train and mentor junior dental assistants on clinical workflows
- Coordinate treatment planning and patient education materials
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and electronic health records
- Implement infection control protocols exceeding OSHA standards
Qualifications
- Current Texas Dental Assistant Radiology certification (DAR)
- Minimum 5 years experience in general/specialty dentistry
- Advanced knowledge of digital dentistry software (DEXIS, Eaglesoft)
- CPR/BLS certification with current renewal
- Proven experience in surgical assisting and IV sedation monitoring
- Exceptional chairside demeanor and patient communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments
